A hybrid between Begonia grandis and a Bhutanese species, B. Torsa has much larger leaves than grandis to over 30cm in size with really attractive red grid like veined undersides. A striking addition to a jungle style garden, preferring a moist humus rich shady spot. Hardy in most parts of the UK - mulch in colder parts for added protection during the winter months.
