Musa acuminata 'Zebrina'

Also known as the Blood Banana, this is a smallish banana from Sumatra reaching around 2 metres in height.  One of the most attractive foliage bananas, It has beautiful burgundy markings on the leaves and a red pseudostem on more mature plants.  Not at all hardy, so best grown in pots in the UK and overwintered frost free with a minimum temperature of 12C.
